As the first locally established coffee roastery on the Fraser Coast, Sexie Coffie quickly became a beloved destination for locals and visitors, thanks to its fresh, expertly roasted coffee beans and highly skilled baristas.

In 2019, owner Jasen Barrie established an on-site roastery and drive-thru cafe—Miss Cocoa’s.

Miss Cocoa’s introduced Hervey Bay’s first dedicated drive-thru for freshly roasted coffee and fresh food. It is conveniently located on Boat Harbour Drive and has been thriving for its first five years in business.

Two decades ago, Queensland’s espresso and coffee roasting scene was just emerging. Jasen led the way, becoming the first to roast and sell Single Origin coffees in the state. His deep passion for the art of roasting, where weather, bean quality, and seasons influence every batch, sets him apart.

Just like our fresh, green logo suggests, our beans don’t get much fresher. Sourced from top coffee-growing regions, they arrive green and ready for specialty roasting at our Hervey Bay roastery.

We partner with H.A. Bennetts, a third-generation independent Australian family business with over 100 years of coffee trading expertise. From Brazil to Papua New Guinea, their carefully selected beans help us craft our signature blends.
